Constant Love: Rapids

Rapids, a four piece outfit from sydney are just thing you need to refresh you mind after walking around in shops that only play top 40 music and are dominated by autotune and references to hoes and lights. With a comfortable and confident sound and a charming allure these boys will not fail to give you a smile. Fashion in music always fascinates me, especially bands that are so casual and so intune with their comfortability and personal style..they don't even know they have style!
Check them out!

Style Stalk: Trendy Old Ladies

Whist watching the live stream in Fed Square of the Dalai Lama's talk at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, not only was I captivated by the worlds most humble man but also by subtle people watching in the square. I was lucky enough to capture this sneaky snap of a brightly dress older woman in an orange hat, bronze pattern velvet tights, red shoes and a multi-coloured jacket. She looked so comfortable and at ease that I couldn't help myself taking a photograph. It wasn't an appropriate time to ask for her permission so I had to be sneaky for educational purposes. I admire people like this, whose self confidence and show in the way they dress.  What a cool old lady :)

Muse: Chloe Moretz

Mostly known for her role as Hit Girl in the wicked movie Kick AssChloe Moretz is my latest obession. The young actress, who has stared in films such as 500 days of Summer and vampire flick Let Me In; has so much going for her- not only is she very talented, stunning and wise for her years, she has a killer fashion sense. She has the classic and smart look down pat and always looks comfortable, stylish and sophistated. Oh and she is only fourteen!
She has created such a graceful image for herself and has stuck to it! Think about what you were wearing when you were fourteen..I personally do not want to think about it! Chloe has worn Christian Dior, Stella McCartney, Chanel, Carven, Proenza Schoulder and Miu Miu in many redcarpet events.Envious anyone?
Get Chloe's look: Tailored shorts, cropped jackets, cute dresses with capped sleeves, blazers, stripped shirts and Mary Janes.
Moretz honey blonde locks were once quite long, but she cut it short for her role as Isabel in Martin Scorsese's film Hugo Cabret. I am completely in love with her stunning 1930's style cut and plan to get the chop just like Chloe.
She is definately a muse-worthy candidate.

Street Style: Camberwell Markets

If you need a little fashion inspiration, Camberwell Market is the place to go! There are people of all types roaming the crowed stalls- older men with vintage printed bomber jackets and old style sunglasses, young girls in karki jackets & cute knits, chic women who know how to put together a killer outit and adorable couples with swaters, oxfords and railing behind a melt your heart white husky puppy- man, these market people are just so god damn stylish!

I have grabbed a couple of snaps of some very polite, lovely dressed folks but I will be returning next week to steal many many many more!

The wonderful Tom & Izzy (absolutely in love with Tom's coat & Izzy's shoes-to die for!)

The girl with the wicked name: Tempe rocking velvet & printed tights.

Christine Calaby looking snazzy in fur and a crafty pink & black floral hat. Pay her a visit next time your there, she is very welcoming woman & a great conversationalist.

Get the look; the exact look

Fashion Muse: Mary-Kate Olsen
Every girls fashion lover.

Thoughts: the excessive black wearer

So I have been thinking lately about the colour (or shade sorry) Black. Winter is rolling around which means myself and many others will be wearing black more than ever (if that is physcially possible in my case) and I thought maybe, just maybe I might mix it up a little bit. Everybody loves a good self photo (haha), so the picture below is my first attempt to slowly introduce a little bit of colour into my outfits. A simple effort I know, but effective. Plum metalic tights, black dress, black blazer, black coat and a cream and purple tribal necklace..it's a start! If your like me and seem to choose black pieces over your other more colourful wardrobe options; have a little fun and slowly add some texture and colour to your black world this winter.

  Get colour creative!
